The Broadway
Theatre
The Broadway Theatre, Barking is a contemporary multi-artform space located on the border of East London and Essex, who approached us to design and develop a completely new web presence to replace their outdated site.
Due to the ever changing packed programme of events, each of which was required to display a range of content types, our design and CMS approach needed to be very flexible indeed.
The target audience range was vast, so we designed a simple, straightforward and well used navigation system, paired with an underlying grid structure to keep each page neat and tidy.
Using ExpressionEngine, our CMS of choice, we wrote bespoke addons to handle their events database and designed the online control panel with simplicity in mind, ensuring all aspects of the website were easily updated with no previous technical experience necessary.
Since launch, the site's received much praise, seen traffic double and given The Broadway a flexible platform to cater for its business and audience needs.
